About Cyprus

Through its uniquely advantageous geographical position, at the crossroads of three continents, in the past few years Cyprus has developed into a regional business centre, flourishing in the property development and services sector.

With two international airports and a full member of the European Union since 2004, a stable, democratic nation, Cyprus offers a positive environment for investors, particularly through its broad network of double tax treaties and favourable tax regimes.

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean, being a very popular destination for travelling and residency, due to its warm climate, low crime rate, excellent infrastructure and high standard of living. The official language is Greek and English is widely spoken throughout. The Cyprus legal system is based on English law. Additionally, the procedures for investment are straightforward and time effective.

Not forgetting, Cyprus is a member of MONEYVAL, a monitoring body of the Council of Europe, entrusted with responsibility to assess compliance in accordance with international standards and to counter money laundering and financing of terrorism.
